Zagat’s 25th annual San Francisco Bay Area Restaurants Survey covered 1,448 restaurants, reviewed by 10,672 local diners, and this year, included mobile trucks. Sam’s ChowderMobile was included in the Bay Area’s top 12 best meals on wheels!

Run by Sam’s Chowder House in Half Moon Bay, this truck dishes out seafood classics including what Peninsula patrons call “the best lobster roll this side of Gloucester” and chowder that’s “a meal all by itself”, “thick, creamy and full of clams”; thrifty types say “it’s expensive, there’s no two ways about it” but then “it is lobster”, so most leave “happy.”
