We are all about fresh, delicious, and affordable seafood, delivered conveniently. Our 225-seat seafood restaurant, Sam’s Chowder House, opened in October of 2006 in a beautiful site overlooking the Pacific Ocean in Half Moon Bay. Our customers gave us great feedback, and it quickly became clear that they couldn’t get enough of fresh, simply prepared seafood.Since everything else is mobile these days, it only made sense to make our seafood experience mobile too, and bring the party to you. So, after a year of planning and development, Sam’s ChowderMobile was born.

  • Lobster Clambakes – on the beach or a private location, for people who just want to have some fun, or celebrate a key life event such as a wedding, birthday, or family reunion
  • Community and Local Events – from street fairs and sporting events to farmers markets

Our menu includes some of the same great seafood that has won Sam’s Chowder House numerous awards. In addition to our famous Lobster Roll, we serve our popular Fish and Chips, Crab Louie Salad, Clam Chowder and Fish Tacos, as well as Key Lime Pie for dessert.

Executive Chef/Partner Lewis Rossman, a nationally known chef, directs all food and kitchen activities. His seafood earned Sam’s “Culinary Hospitality Restaurant of the Year” by Sante Magazine, and he’s been featured on “Best of the Bay” TV, as well as TasteTV’s new book “Sexy Dishes”.
